How do I update maps through PC application for Magellan roadmate GPS?

I'm looking through the user documentatiion (CD) and through the instruction packets and I don't see anything on it. I've got my GPS connected through a UPS cable to my computer with the USer doc CD in, and nothing seems to be happening. How do I update the PC application as it is asking me to do on the GPS screen?
