magellan gps accessories

Is it possible to download Magellan 1200 gps map from the internet for free?

I have this (Magellan 1200 gps) but about 4 days ago i lost the SD card; therefore i went to buy it yesterday at Best buy, so i bought the SD card for $25 but i was told that i should have the map downloaded to the SD card for $60..i was just wondering if there was any websites that i can download the map from for free.....i would appreciate that if someone gives me an answer..Thank you

1. To the best of my knowledge, Magellan DOES NOT offer map download for the Magellan RoadMate 1200. I would guess the BestBuy salesman maybe mistaken. You can visit Magellan website at http://www.magellangps.com/support/faqdetail.asp?faqid=554&prodid=1943 to find out more about your product. Contact BestBuy for assistant since losing the SD card is an issue and Magellan need to find a way to help you if possible. You should not have to pay $60 for the map download since you already paid for the maps already and it is not an upgrade. Good Luck
