Does Magellan explorist 300 GPS device work in Mumbai,India?

1. All GPS's will work everywhere. However the base map loaded on the GPS is usually dependant on where you bought it. Most GPS from America will have a base Americas map with high level roads etc. Without a good base map for your area your GPS is not going to be very useful as you wont be able to glance at it and know where you are in relation to ground fatures. You can of course add your own user waypoints if you know the co-ordinates. You can also purchase other base maps and load them on your GPS but they are quite expensive. I have owned a Magellan and now plan on getting a Garmin, though the Magellan was quite good. My only reason is that Garmin offer better features for aviation.
