Can anybody recommend a navigation system for my car?
Whats better a garmin, magellan, or tomtom?

- Garmin Nuvi 660, most Garmins are pretty good
- i got mine built into my phone, motorola Rizr, (not Razr) it's just as good, and it has more features...
- I am very happy with my Garmin 340c. Regardless of what brand you buy though, I highly recommend getting one with a text-to-speech capability. It's important that you keep your eyes on the road and navigation systems which do not have this feature will just tell you "turn right in 1 mile" with text to speech it says "Turn right on South Maple Avenue in 1 mile." This is not only a convenience feature, but it's also a saftey feature.
- Garmin definitely
- Garmin and Tomtom are tops. Anyone who knows their stuff will tell you not to bother to look any further. Between Garmin and Tomtom it's all about personal preference. Garmin has some nice slim designs - Tomtom has an option of celebrity voice downloads. Some have bluetooth, others don't. From what I've seen so far, you pay a lot more to get the same features on a Garmin that you already get on a tomtom.
- my friend has a tomtom and she said it was pretty cheap. i love the way it works. *very nice* :)
- We have a Gamin Nuvi and it is really great. I highly recommend it. Very accurate and lots of cool extras. It also has Bluetooth so you can connect your phone to it and use it while you're in the car.
